DIRECTIONS TO ACCRINGTON STANLEY DIRECTIONS: Moorhead Sports College, Queens Road West, Accrington, BB5 4FF FROM M65: Moorhead Sports College Leave M65 junction 7 turn at the slip road roundabout signposted Clitheroe. Get in right hand lane and turn right at the lights. Continue up slight incline to lights and turn right. Continue straight on for approximately 1 mile and pass Crown Pub on your left (signposted ASFC shortly after) continue along, over mini-roundabout, through pedestrian crossing to crossroad lights turn right. Queens Road West. The Sports College is approximately 400 yards on your right. DIRECTIONS: Wilson Playing Fields, Woodland Drive, Clayton le Moors, Accrington, BB5 5SD Wilson Playing Fields Leave M65 junction 7 turn at the slip road roundabout signposted Clitheroe. Get in right hand lane and turn right at the lights. Continue up slight incline to lights and turn left. Continue along the road for approximately ¾ mile and you will see a stone wall on the right. At the end of the wall is Woodland Drive, turn right into Woodland Drive and the dressing rooms are at the top of the drive. (not suitable for large coaches) Blackpool (Squires Gate Training Ground) Drive to the end of the M55, stay left at the roundabout following the signs A5230 South Shore/Airport. At the next roundabout take the third exit signed Squares Gate/Airport/South Shore. Drive for approx 2 miles through five sets of traffic lights. Approx 200 yards past the fifth set of lights which are at the main entrance to Blackpool Airport, turn left into Westgate Drive opposite a Shell Garage. Drive approx 100 yards along West Gate Drive and turn right into Martin Avenue. The training ground entrance is about 80 yards on the left. Map Blackpool (Ballam Road, Lytham St Annes) Take Junction 32 off the M6 and join the M55 (A6 Blackpool & North Shore). At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A583 (Preston New Road) for 0.4 Miles. Turn right onto Whitehill Road, then immediately left onto Peel Road for 1.6 miles. Turn right onto Ballam Road. Burnley (Gawthorpe) Exit jct 10 on the M65, taking the 2nd exit off the roundabout (signposted Padiham). Straight through three sets of traffic lights, you come to a pelican crossing with a National Trust sign on the left hand side for Gawthorpe Hall. Take a sharp right taking the entrance to Gawthorpe Hall down the lane and enter car park saying Burnley Football Club only. Map Burnley (Padiham FC) Leave M65 at Junction 8, onto the A6068 towards Padiham, turn right onto A678 (Blackburn Road), follow to the end and at roundabout go straight across onto Holland Street. At the junction with the Hare & Hounds pub, turn right and then first left into Padiham Football Club - Arbories Memorial Sports Ground Map Burnley (Nelson FC) Leave the M65 at junction 13, then at roundabout take the 4th exit onto Scotland Road - A682 (signposted Nelson) Entering Nelson. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto Reedyford Road and Turn right onto Leeds Road. Nelson is 200 yards down the road. Bury FC (Lower Gigg) From the North: Exit M66, jct 2, take Bury Road (A58) for 0.5 miles, then turn into Heywood Street and follow this into Parkhills Road until the end. At traffic lights turn left into Manchester Road (A56), then left into Gigg Lane, follow the road past the cemetery. Carry on down the road, and you will see Lower Gigg on your right hand side. From South, East and West: Exit M60 (formerly M62) jct 17, take Bury Road (A56) for 3 miles then turn right into Gigg Lane, follow the road past the cemetery. Carry on down the road, and you will see Lower Gigg on your right hand side. ALL ROUTES AFTER EXITING MOTORWAYS ARE SIGNPOSTED TO THE FOOTBALL GROUND. Bury FC (Goshen Sports Centre) From the North: Exit M66, jct 2, take Bury Road (A58) for 0.5 miles, then turn into Heywood Street and follow this into Parkhills Road until the end. At traffic lights turn left into Manchester Road (A56), turn left at first petrol station onto Tennyson Avenue and follow road round to Goshen Sports Centre. From South, East and West: Exit M60 (formerly M62) jct 17, take Bury Road (A56), turn left at first petrol station onto Tennyson Avenue and follow road round to Goshen Sports Centre. Carlisle United (Frenchfield) From South: Follow A6 through Eamont Bridge to roundabout at top of hill. Take the third exit sign posted A686 Alston. Follow road for 500 yards and take the second right turn, sign posted Hunter Hall and Frenchfield. Pitches are 400 yards at the bottom of the hill. Map Halifax Town (Rastrick High School) Leave the M62 at Junction 25 and at the roundabout take the A644 (Signposted Brighouse). Proceed for approximately 1 mile, across a mini roundabout and turn right at the traffic lights and take the left hand lane. After 200 yards turn left onto the roundabout (signposted Keighley and Halifax – A644). Proceed along the dual carriageway for approximately 400 yards and turn left at the mini roundabout signposted Rastrick – A643. Proceed for over the mini roundabout and continue over 2 small bridges and then take the 2^nd exit at the mini roundabout into Branston Street (immediately after passing through the stone arched bridge). Proceed a further ½ mile and turn right by a Fish and Chip Shop into Castle Avenue. Proceed up to the top of Castle Avenue and when you reach the T junction turn right and then almost immediately left into Rastrick High School car park. At 2nd set of lights, turn right for astroturf pitches. At 3rd set of lights, turn right at Bridgewater Pub for grass pitches. From Manchester: Take A62 from Manchester. Keep on this road for approximately 4 miles. When you pass Roxy Cinema at Hollinwood, turn right at 2nd set of lights for astroturf pitches, or right at 3rd set of lights for grass pitches. Map Oldham Athletic (The Lancaster Club, British Aerospace Training Ground) From East/West: Leave M62 at Jct 20. Take OLDHAM signs on A627M. Continue on this road to the end of the A627M ignoring Oldham turnoff, as this becomes the A633 to MANCHESTER. Keep on this road past several pelican crossings and traffic lights. When you reach the restricted area, take right hand lane and look for gap in central reservation leading to LANCASTER CLUB (Approx 200 yards before junction with A62). From Manchester: Take A62 from City Centre, after approx 3 miles look for A633 on left, turn along A633 and look for entrance to LANCASTER CLUB on left From Ashton Under Lyne: Take A627 from ASHTON. After approx two miles, look for signpost to MANCHESTER (Opposite Park Cake Bakeries). Continue on this road to junction with A62. Join A62 and continue in Manchester direction. After approx 1 mile. look for A633 on right. Turn along A633 for approx 200 yards Map Preston North End (Preston Sports Arena) Preston Sports Arena is situated some 2 miles outside Preston town centre and 10 minutes from the M6/M55 junction 32. Leave M6 at jct 32 to follow the M55, and come off at the first exit, jct 1. Take the first slip road towards Preston then first left to get onto Tom Benson Way (B6241). Signs from the motorway and the town centre direct cars and coaches to the main entrance on Tom Benson Way. Map Preston North End (Springfields) Leave M6 at jct 31 go up the hill towards preston come to a mini rounabout (hesketh arms) go right onto Blackpool rd, stay on this road approx 4 miles going past Deepdale on your left, through a series of traffic lights past a Chrysler car dealership on your left. keep going until you see the Toby Carvery Pub, turn right opposite the pub into Tudor Av,then sharp left into Greenside Av, then right into Dodney drive. 100 yards down Dodney drive,Springfields is on your right. Rotherham United Join the M62 motorway heading East (signposted Leeds) and then leave the at junction 32A (signposted The South, The North A1(M)). Follow signs The South to join A1(M) motorway (signposted M62 Hull, Pontefract) and continue forward onto the A1(signposted The South) Leave the A1(M) at Junction 36 (signposted A630 Doncaster, Rotherham), then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto High Road – A630 (signposted Rotherham). Continue forward onto Doncaster Road – A630 and after approx 3 miles turn right onto Kilnhurst Road - B6090 Wigan Athletic (Christopher Park) From East: Exit M61 at jct 6 (signposted Chorley, Horwich A6027) and take first exit at roundabout. (NB: Do not take exit at jct 5 which is signposted Wigan). At next roundabout, take first left (signposted Westhoughton A6, Wigan B5238) into Chorley Road. After 0.3 miles, turn right (signposted Wigan B5238). After 1.8 miles, turn left at Aspull War Memorial (signposted Wigan B5238). After 2.2 miles, just after Earl of Balcarres Pub, turn right at traffic lights and go down hill getting into right hand lane. Turn right at lights onto Central Park Way, and follow this road past the hospital until you see The Cherry Gardens pub on right hand side. Turn left at roundabout, then immediately get into the right hand lane. Cut accross oncoming traffic then turn left into Spencer Road. Follow Spencer Road for approx. 1.5 miles (road becomes Beech Hill Avenue) down the hill to major crossroads (with traffic lights). Turn right here, then follow this road which has a sharp right band, follow by a sharp left. 100 yards after the second bend, turn right into Woodrush Road (signed Wigan Tech ARLFC) and ground is 100 yards on the left. Map Wigan Athletic (Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School) From the north and south M6 junction 23 Haydock Island, Follow signpost for Haydock Race Course, go past the racecourse which will be on the right hand side. Stay on the same road and you will see two schools on the left. The second school is Edmund Arrowsmith high school. To enter the school drive past the front of both schools and take the first left turn, then take the second left turn and proceed to the car park From the East or West use the A580 East Lancs to island and follow A6 above Or M62 to M6 north junction 23 Haydock Island and follow as above. Map Wigan Athletic (John Rigby College) Leave the M6 at Junction 26(Orrell) and at the roundabout follow signs for Wigan. At the traffic lights turn left onto the A577 and then at the cross roads turn right onto Gathurst Road (B5206). Follow the road down the hill and after you go under the motorway bridge pass the Royal Oak pub on the right and St John Rigby College directly after on the right.
Directions to Finch Farm
Directions to Everton Academy - Finch Farm, Finch Lane, Halewood, Merseyside, L26 3UE From the North via M6: Exit the M6 at Junction 21a and join the M62 Liverpool. Exit the M62 at Junction 6 – signposted Liverpool Airport. Take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A5300 – Knowsley Expressway. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto the A562 and branch left signposted Hale, Halewood. Turn right onto Higher Road from the roundabout and continue forward onto Finch Lane. From the South via the M6: Exit the M6 at Junction 20 and join the M56 – signposted N. Wales, Chester, Runcorn. Exit the M56 at Junction 12 and take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A557 – signposted Runcorn, Widnes. Merge onto the A533 (Liverpool) and continue forward onto the A562. Bear left onto the A562 (Halewood, Hale) and turn right onto Higher Road and continue forward onto Finch Lane.

Queens Road West.

The Sports College is approximately 400 yards on your right.

Preston Sports Arena is situated some 2 miles outside Preston town centre and 10 minutes from the M6/M55 junction 32.
Leave M6 at jct 32 to follow the M55, and come off at the first exit, jct 1. Take the first slip road towards Preston then first left to get onto Tom Benson Way (B6241).

Leave the A1(M) at Junction 36 (signposted A630 Doncaster, Rotherham), then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto High Road – A630 (signposted Rotherham). Continue forward onto Doncaster Road – A630 and after approx 3 miles turn right onto Kilnhurst Road - B6090

Wigan Athletic (Christopher Park)

From East: Exit M61 at jct 6 (signposted Chorley, Horwich A6027) and take first exit at roundabout.

From the East or West use the A580 East Lancs to island and follow A6 above

Or M62 to M6 north junction 23 Haydock Island and follow as above.

Wigan Athletic (JJB Soccerdome)

From East: Exit M61 at jct 6 (signposted Chorley, Horwich A6027) and take first exit at roundabout.
(NB: Do not take exit at jct 5 which is signposted Wigan).
At next roundabout, take first left (signposted Westhoughton A6, Wigan B5238) into Chorley Road.
After 0.3 miles, turn right (signposted Wigan B5238).
After 1.8 miles, turn left at Aspull War Memorial (signposted Wigan B5238).
After 2.2 miles, just after Earl of Balcarres Pub, turn right at traffic lights and go down hill getting into right hand lane.
Turn right at lights onto Central Park Way, and follow this road past the hospital until you see The Cherry Gardens pub on right hand side.
Turn left at roundabout, then immediately get into the right hand lane. Cut accross oncoming traffic then turn left into Spencer Road.
Follow Spencer Road for approx. 1.5 miles (road becomes Beech Hill Avenue) down the hill to major crossroads (with traffic lights).
Go straight through these lights and then under the railway bridge. At the second set of traffic lights, turn left at Filter Lane into Stadium Way, signposted JJB Stadium.
The Soccerdome is 300 yards on your right before the JJB Stadium.

Wigan Athletic (John Rigby College)

Leave the M6 at Junction 26(Orrell) and at the roundabout follow signs for Wigan. At the traffic lights turn left onto the A577 and then at the cross roads turn right onto Gathurst Road (B5206).

Follow the road down the hill and after you go under the motorway bridge pass the Royal Oak pub on the right and St John Rigby College directly after on the right.

From the North via M6:

Exit the M6 at Junction 21a and join the M62 Liverpool.

Exit the M62 at Junction 6 – signposted Liverpool Airport. Take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A5300 – Knowsley Expressway.

At the next roundabout take the third exit onto the A562 and branch left signposted Hale, Halewood. Turn right onto Higher Road from the roundabout and continue forward onto Finch Lane.

From the South via the M6:

Exit the M6 at Junction 20 and join the M56 – signposted N. Wales, Chester, Runcorn.

Exit the M56 at Junction 12 and take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A557 – signposted Runcorn, Widnes.

Merge onto the A533 (Liverpool) and continue forward onto the A562. Bear left onto the A562 (Halewood, Hale) and turn right onto Higher Road and continue forward onto Finch Lane.
