Dale’s youth team played Macclesfield Town away on Saturday 1st May 2010, Dale overcome Macclesfield in a 2-1 win showing off their fine performance. Dale’s goals were scored by Helio Andre in the 47th minute and Callum Byrne in the 67th minute. We caught up with boss Chris Beech who gave his views on the game “Not the best performance today with players at 2nd year level concentrating on the outcome of a bigger decision than the task in front of them. Although I commend the players for being able to offset this mentally but it crept into their performance. The result guarantees a fantastic achievement in finishing 2nd in the League and along the way with some exceptional football played. Well done to all the lads and I look forward to next week where we plan to play next years youth team.
