Dale’s youth team had a 3-3 draw with Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 6th March 2010. Dale’s goals were scored by Josh Brizell (19th and 40th minute) and Oliver Devenney (45 minute) was a well played game. We catch up with boss Chris Beech who gave his views on the game “a very subdued mood with players not quite right today. March is a big month with a possible 10 games in 29 days for some of the lads. Although overall the energy wasn’t quite right at times in passages of play, it was of a high standard. Josh Brizell played excellent today with two goals in free play and hitting the post from 15yds to win the game, missed out on both a hatrick and a win. Taking the lead 3 times and not winning is disappointing. We need to work harder and smarter, stopping counter attacks and re-set ourselves for all these games. Youth team are still unbeaten in 2010 and to stay that way standards need to be improved.
