| Dale’s youth team played Walsall FC on Saturday 6th February 2010, which was an excellent performance and finished in a 3-2 win. Dale’s goals for the youth team were scored by Liam Murray in the 31st minute, Laurie Bell in the 35th minute and Chris Brown in the 40th minute of the game. We catch up with boss Chris Beech who gave his views on the game “Playing 4-5-1 we attacked well in numbers and defended resiliently. A close game against a well organised team looking at the opportunities in the game overall Rochdale AFC deserved the victory. Lessons learnt are for the players to have more off the ball movement and not to get to arrogant in possession in the wrong areas. A very pleasing day as we have not played due to the weather conditions since the 12th December 2009.
